I am a native Southern California girl living in Silver Lake with my husband, Jimmy and our "baby" Nevada the Cat. I am not a chef, nor am I trained in the culinary arts. However, food and wine are my passion and make me happy. Cooking is my therapy. I am married to a renaissance man who is a true artist in the kitchen. I cook; he creates, but I am a jedi in training. My father is also an amazing cook and I have a cousin who is a chef. I come from an extremely talented family of musicians, chefs, writers and filmmakers. I have some truly creative & amazing friends. Being around these people supply me with much inspiration and a life well fed. Los Angeles is equally beautiful and frightening. I try and find the beauty whenever and wherever I can. I am both fascinated and nauseated by "celebrity" gossip and reality television. I am starstruck by chefs. I once downed several margarita's at Border Grille in Santa Monica while waiting for Mary Sue Miliken and Susan Feniger to sign a cookbook for my husband. Yes, I was that nervous to meet them. Yes, those were some damn good margaritas. I have many food stories that I would like to share with you. Welcome and I hope you enjoy.
